Our Story began in February 2000 when I began to offer
an educational seminar to  provide resources and support
to families experiencing living with a substance involved
member.    As a child and  member of a family that has lived
both codependency and recovery. I began to understand the
importance of how I became supported by a wonderful
loving community. These neighbors, pastors, teachers
        and friends always provide
d Inspiration and a connection
to a much larger spirit that continues to guide me today.
It is to honor and share their many loving lessons of hope,
        I carry the message
Recovery is Possible!

The seminar began with just 3 people attending
today we provide services to the Chicago Metro & Suburbs.
Recovery Education For Family is a Charitable 501 (c)3 Tax

Best Evidenced Based Practices:

Recovery Education For Family constructs and
distributes a yearly member satisfaction survey.
The 2007 Survey provided these results. While
our group may be small comparatively we are
proud of these results and the success as we
live and reach our Mission

An Average Attendance:
35 to 40 members attend  the  two  free
"Family Recovery Education" groups each month.

17.5 members have consistently attended 3 to 5
years

75% of all who attend reported:
1. Improved understanding of the disease of addiction
2. New coping skills and reduction in enabling.
3.Improved family relationships.

7% reported a family member or them self as seeking
recovery or actively in recovery for up to 2 years.
